The classes have practical character and introduce the students through the Javanese court music into the topic of Asian music. The participants learn the playing technique of the Javanese gamelan instruments and play simple repertoire from Central Java.

The classes have practical character and introduce the students through the Javanese court music into the topic of Asian music. The participants learn the playing technique of the Javanese gamelan instruments and play simple repertoire from Central Java. Basing on their own performance experiences, the students learn the main theoretical rules shaping the form and instrumentation in Javanese music. The best musicians participate in the concert activities of Warsaw Gamelan Group.
