Creativity in the oral tradition has a specific structure, exists in a social context and crystallises during performance. The course will present basic issues related to creativity in the oral tradition, as well as selected examples from the history of musicians and traditional music of different cultures. |

Students are introduced to the rules and methods of knowledge transmission in the oral tradition, and become familiar with the literature of history, music history and anthropology. |
