Prerequisites (description): | The seminar focuses on the history of European music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance and on the music related to the Polish sources to ca. 1800. Depending on the interests of the participants various aspects of research will be taken into account, including source criticism, analysis of selected works, music culture and others. |

Schedule is adapted to the interests of the participants. Students focus on the preparation of their thesis, present papers concerning results of successive stages of their research and take part in discussions on the issues presented by others. |

The student acquires skills in the use of sources, literature and writing of scientific papers. |

The basis of assessment is student’s activity, regular research reports as well as a written fragment of a diploma thesis. |
