ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	5.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:	The thematic scope of the seminar includes music of the 20th and 21st centuries (e.g. sources, styles, genres, musical life, compositional output) as well as theoretical, analytical and methodological issues.
Full description:	The thematic scope of the seminar covers 20th and 21st century music (including popular and film music) in the historical, aesthetic and analytical perspective, as well as the history of music theory (since the 18/19 century) and methodological issues. Of particular interest are 20th and 21st century compositional techniques, selected aspects of contemporary musical life, and relations between modern technology and music and musicological research. It is also possible to take up other subjects according to students' interests and proposals.
Bibliography:	(in Polish) Dobierana jest według indywidualnych potrzeb studentów, zgodnie z tematem i profilem przygotowywanych prac dyplomowych.
Learning outcomes:	(in Polish) Studenci zdobywają wiedzę na temat procesu przygotowywania pracy dyplomowej, zyskują znajomość standardów i oczekiwań jakie muszą spełnić. Końcowym efektem udziału w seminarium winno być napisanie pracy magisterskiej/licencjackiej, którą cechuje oryginalne ujęcie wybranego tematu oraz opanowanie warsztatu naukowego.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	(in Polish) Podstawą oceny jest aktywność w zakresie referowania wybranych zagadnień związanych z tematem projektowanej pracy dyplomowej oraz udział w seminaryjnych dyskusjach nad pracami innych uczestników seminarium. Warunkiem zaliczenia semestru jest przedstawienie w formie pisemnej zadanej pracy seminaryjnej albo fragmentu całej przygotowywanej pracy dyplomowejj.
