  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Short description:

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge of issues relating to legal and specialized translation from a chosen foreign language into Polish, and reversely, as well as with interpreting.

Full description:

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge of issues relating to legal and specialized translation from a chosen foreign language into Polish, and reversely, as well as with interpreting.

The issues discussed include texts of civil, criminal, labor and family law.

During interpreting classes the students acquire skills in consecutive and sight interpreting.

2. Understanding the meaning of principles of professional ethics of sworn translator
