  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

The seminar is devoted to axiological issues in Russian literature, presented both in classical texts (reinterpretation of the classics) and in the work of secondary authors

Full description:

The first semester of the seminar provides: 1) broadening and deepening knowledge of Russian literature in the context of axiological issues, 2) learning the types of values applicable in various literary periods (ethical, aesthetic, political, family, ideological), 3) analysis of presentation forms of values in the literary work, 4) research on axiological issues in the literature of Russian modernism and postmodernism, 5) master's workshop, work with scientific text and bibliographic form, 6) ethics of scientific work, the concept of plagiarism in the humanities, 7) The choice of thesis topic and prepare a bibliography.

Knowledge:

1. A student knows the principles for studying and reporting a scientific text;

2. A student knows the copyright law;

3. A student knows the basic issues and the current state of research in the field of literary axiology.

Skills:

1. A student is able to present his or her circle of scientific interests related to the profile of the master's seminar

2. A student is able to find information on the subject of his master's thesis using various sources

3. A student is able to write summaries of the literature studies and define its key words.

4. A student has research skills in the analysis and interpretation of a literary work in the context of axiological issues

Social competences:

1. A student understands specificity of the literary studies.

2. A student is aware of his responsibility for the preservation of the European cultural and literary heritage.

3. A student is aware of the contribution of the Russian culture in the cultural heritage of Europe.

4. A student is aware of the value of the cultural diversity and respects the signs of the interculturality.

5. A student is aware of his knowledge and feels to be obligated to its further increasing.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Semester work (bibliography), continuous assessment (ongoing preparation for classes and activity).

The student has the right to 2 unexcused absences, each subsequent one requires justification. The lecturer decides on the recognition of absence.

Exceeding excused and unexcused absences by 50% of classes may be grounds to fail the course.

The conditions for passing the course on the resit exam are the same as on the ordinary of exam.
