Polish-Belarusian borderland culture

The aim of the classes is to present the complexity of the issues of Polish-Belarusian border.

During the seminar there will be discussed the issue of the Polish-Belarusian border. There will be included historical situation affecting the territory of the Polish-Belarusian borderland. Complex identity situation and culture will be discussed, including religious and linguistic of the inhabitants of the borderland. There will also be discussed the factors affecting the identity of the inhabitants of the borderland and their attitude towards language.

After completing the course, student:

In the final evaluation there will be taken into account the activity of a student in the class, attendance, and at the end of semester essay on the student's chosen topic related to the scope of the material discussed in class.
