Language communication: written and oral practice of language skills in order to be able to express oneself communicatively at an intermediate level. |
Full description: |
After the course, the learner should be able to speak or give his/her opinion on a variety of topics, especially everyday topics that he/she might need in contact with a native speaker. This starts with speaking about his/her daily life, about the life as a student (in town: shopping, going by bus/tram/metro). He/she should be able to speak about his/her hobbies, should be able to use small talk at parties, should be able to describe habits of e.g. Christmas Celebration; several topics (travelling) will be discussed, with vocabulary and Grammar; also the basic idioms of the German language will be given. When there is a difference between the German language in Germany and Austria, theses differences (in the lexic, Grammar and pronunciation) will be explained. List of topics: 1. introduce yourself (hobbies), leisure topics 2. activity words: verbs in different contexts 3. small talk, e.g. at a party 4. customs and festivals (e.g. Christmas) 5. partnership then and now 6. health aspects: Nutrition, sport and exercise, other 7. energy and alternative energy 8. life in the city - looking for accommodation 9. Living in the /suburbs/countryside: good air? 10 Artificial intelligence 11. home office: advantages and disadvantages 12. how to study? how to prepare for exams? 13. waste separation and other environmental issues 14. what do people need to be happy? 15. Travels |
