  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Prerequisites (description):

After this course, the student is able to present the results of his/her analyses in German to internal audiences within the company as well as to a wider circle of stakeholders such as sponsors and investors.

Short description:

The student learns about different aspects of presenting that play a role in a high-quality presentation (of appropriate content), including good preparation (prerequisites, target group, structure, length, language, graphics, verbal prerequisites) as well as the emotional persuasiveness that is sometimes necessary.

In this course, the student learns, among other things, the following:

1. the preparation of the presentation: general information

2. preparation time, steps of preparation

3. formal, informal presentation, specialised lecture

4. content or packaging: emotionally convincing

5. structure/ organisation

6 Visual aids

7. subject matter: the right amount of slides

8. target audience: homogeneous or inhomogeneous group

9. colour, background, ambient light

10. seven deadly sins in presentations

11. during the presentation: eye contact, sensory overload through multimedia elements?

12. language - speaking: Pace, verbal optimisation, pauses
