  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

C.1.1./ C.1.2./ C.1.3.

In the class all four skills of a foreign language will be exercised 1/ hearing 2/ speaking 3/reading 4/writing. The subject of the class contains widely presented everyday's situations and cultural aspects of the German speaking countries in particular. The syllabus can be extended by aspect which the students are especially interested of.

Learning outcomes:

During the course, participants will acquire basic language skills according to the level B2 measured by the scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Student has to write three tests and two short essays, should be prepared during the classes and actively participate. The student is required to work at home. Only two unexcused absences in a semester are allowed.
