  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Students must be interested in the history of Russia and Belarus, mainly in the political, economical and ethic-relegious problems

Short description:

Introducing of political and economic history of Russia and Belarus is purpose of classes, from antiquity till the end of World War II

Full description:

During the course, students discuss specific issues from the history of Russia and Belarus from antiquity to the end of the Second World War, with special regard to politics, economics, culture and religion. Much attention was paid to the development of state processes (the Slavic states, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Grand Duchy of Moscow, Russia, the Soviet Union).

The teacher reserves the right to change the program.

Learning outcomes:

Student attending the classes has to gain knowledge about compound history of state systems on Russian lands from the X century till 1945. This knowledge can be useful for the student in his work in diplomatic missions and state, social and self-governing organizations dealing with the problems of Russia and Belarus.
