Participants of the seminar, after selecting the material they would like to undergo linguistic, translation or teaching analysis, are divided into thematic and subject subgroups and select together with the leading tools and research methods enabling the implementation of their doctoral dissertation projects. Two subgroups are most often distinguished: one is made up of people carrying out research projects related to linguistic issues, the other consists of people whose projects relate to various types of translation issues or are part of the research on didactics. The formula of the course is based on discussions on read books related to ongoing research projects, previous presentations on selected topics. At a later stage, it is planned to prepare reports on subsequent fragments of the works they write on a regular basis. These papers are delivered during seminar meetings at the dates indicated by the teacher and each time discussed. The evaluation will cover both persons presenting the given day as well as other PhD students participating in the discussion. They will have to demonstrate the ability to formulate critical judgments and opinions on individual presentations and to put questions to the speaker. An integral part of the seminar is the library and internet query carried out on its own by each participant, aimed at finding and selecting bibliographic sources related to the subject of their research. Students will also be informed about conferences and thematic workshops organized within the mainstream they are interested in and encouraged to actively participate in these events. The best works or their fragments in the form of articles created as part of the seminar will be presented at symposia and specialist conferences.
