ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 5.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

- desenvolver as capacidades de comunicação;

- abordar as questões culturais intrinsicamente ligadas à variedade brasileira da língua portuguesa.

O curso Português Prático no nível básico e intermediário visa:

- transmitir os conhecimentos básicos e intermediários da variedade brasileira da língua portuguesa falada e escrita;

- introduzir o contexto gramatical e lexical correspondente aos níveis A2-B1 da Modern Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. A Common European Framework of Reference.

- desenvolver as capacidades de comunicação;

- abordar as questões culturais intrinsicamente ligadas à variedade brasileira da língua portuguesa.

Learning outcomes:

The student knows and understands:

- the basic terminology in Brazilian Portuguese in literary, language, cultural and historical studies, their origin and application on an advanced level in Polish and basic level in Brazilian Portuguese.

- rules regarding language necessary for professional analysis and interpretation of texts representing various registers and funcional styles in a basic level of the Brazilian Portuguese.

The student is able to:

- communicate in Polish and Brazilian Portuguese using various channels and communication techniques with specialists within the areas of literary, language, cultural and historical studies.

- use the Brazilian Portuguese actively and passively at a basic level in the written and spoken register (A1-A2), which enables to communicate on basic level and prepare papers and presentations on basic level in the disciplines in which the studies are conducted.

Upon graduation the student is capable of:

- lifelong learning

- broadening their knowledge and language skills in the Brazilian Portuguese language, continuous professional training and personal development, self-assessment of their own competences and skills improvement.

- communicate and interact in Portuguese language communities, particularly in Brazilian communities.

- active participation in the culture of Brazil using various media and forms.

- being informed about current processes and phenomena occurring in the Portuguese language countries, particularly in Brazil.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

- presença (no máximo 5 faltas injustificadas durante o semestre: 3 nas aulas ministradas por H.Shinzato, 2 nas aulas ministradas por O.Bagińska-Shinzato)

- prova semestral no fim do semestre de verão. É preciso alcançar o resultado mínimo de 70% da pontuação total para ser aprovado;

- exame escrito final e exame oral no semestre de verão. É preciso alcançar o resultado mínimo de 70% da pontuação total para ser aprovado;

- trabalhos escritos;

- deveres de casa;

- participação/desempenho na sala de aula.
