  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Short description:

The aim of the course for students is to acquire knowledge, skills and competences in the field of physical culture methodology implemented in the field of prevention and rehabilitation.

Full description:

The course is intended to familiarize the student with the basic concepts and terms in the field of physical culture methodology. The student acquires knowledge about various concepts of physical culture and institutional categories of physical culture. The course prepares the student to analyze the processes of physical education and physical culture as well as their functions and structure. Furthermore, the student gets to know the advantages and risks of physical activity. The course prepares for doing analysis and studying the selected rehabilitation projects in the field of physical education, recreation and sport.

Learning outcomes:

After completing the course the student:

• in terms of knowledge:

- has an organized knowledge of the forms of activities in the field of physical culture;

- knows and understands the procedures for constructing, implementing and evaluating projects in the field of physical culture;

• in terms of skills:

- is able to analyze and scientifically justify the multifaceted consequences of threats related to the inability or lack of practicing physical culture and to estimate the damage resulting from them;

- is able to use knowledge to assess the effectiveness and costs of various initiatives, strategies and methods of counteracting social threats and problems by means of physical culture;

• in terms of social competences:

- is ready to independently and in a team set priorities of designed programs in the field of physical culture, taking into account the needs of people and communities covered by these programs.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Passing conditions for the course:

- attendance

- active participation in classes (reading scientific texts, participation in discussions, exercises)

- project outline implementation

- passing all written tests and written colloquium.

The final grade consists of:

- written colloquium - max 50 points

- written tests - max 5 points

- active participation during classes - max 20 points

- project outline - max. 25 points

Scoring system - the maximum number of points you can score is 100:

100-95 –grade 5.0; 94-88 - grade 4.5; 87-80 - grade 4.0; 79-70 - grade 3.5; 69-61 - grade 3.0; 60 and below - grade 2.0

Methods of verifying the learning outcomes:

LO KNOWLEDGE: written tests, written test

LO SKILLS AND COMPETENCES: continuous assessment, preparation of the project outline
