Short description:

Logical theory of language (formal and natural). Functions of language. Logic as a formalized system or the device for formalizing intuitive arguments met in scientific practice and every day life. Deductive and inductive reasoning (without the probability calculus). Demands of clearness and language order. The language of description and evaluation. Justifying statements.

Full description:

Curriculum: logical theory of language, formal and natural languages. Semiotics. Language and meta language. First order logic. Theory of predicates. Implication and contradiction. Elements of sets theory. Methodology of science. Creation of the notion aparatis and definitions. Justification. Deductive and statistic reasoning. Explanation and prediction. Aims: Deepening the language consciousness. Ability to differentiate between: element - set, whole - part, meaning - description, and so on. Pointing logical consequences among sentences. Differentiating between definitions and statements. Respecting the rule of legitimate promise.
