Short description:	The discussion of the theoretical and empirical issues connected to the sociological approach to the moral phenomena and underlying their complexity.
Full description:	The aim of this course is to present basic issues in the field of sociology of morality. The curriculum includes the discussion on the following issues: 1. definitional difficulties with the term of morality, 2.usability of the term "ethos" in empirical research, 3. research methods used in the sociology of morality, 4. contemporary theories of morality (excluding the theories discussed during other courses) and contemporary issues on morality, 5. cultural relativism and morality, 6. notion of individual creation and the research issues regarding personal patterns, 7. factors creating moralities of social groups; potential of hypothesis differentiated by M. Ossowska in the book "Socjologia moralności. Zarys zagadnień" in the analysis of the moral issues in contemporary world.
