  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Prerequisites (description):

Completion of the second year of Japanese Studies of the first degree.

The scope of knowledge determined by the first degree of Japanese Studies program and interest in such fields as Japanese literature or history, or religion and philosophy, or aesthetics and art or linguistics.

Short description:

The seminar prepares the participants to work on their B.A. thesis according to the scientific rules and to pass the B.A. examination.

Full description:

The seminar prepares the participants to work on their B.A. thesis according to the scientific rules and to pass examination. The participants are expected to take an active part in the seminar, both through an active discussion and preparing papers on selected topics in the field of Japanese literature or aesthetics and art. They check and collect the bibliography, prepare the concept of the paper and finally write and present the paper at the seminar.

Bibliography:

Depending on the choice of the topic of the thesis, methodological literature and specialist literature in the field of Japanese studies are recommended.

- knows and understands basic analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture characteristic of chosen theories and schools of research within the scope of cultural and literary studies, linguistics, philosophy and religion studies and history of Japan K_W18
