The lecture presents the history of the literary heritage of Bengal from the 10th century to the most recent times. Most space is devoted to Bengali literature, but outstanding works in Sanskrit and the Brajabula language are included. Characteristics of this literature, prominent trends, genres, the most influential authors, and the most famous monuments are discussed. |
