Practical study of an Indian language (Bengali / Hindi / Sanskrit / Tamil) from the intermediate to advanced level. Learning modern languages (Bengali / Hindi / Tamil) is based primarily on conversations, and in the case of Sanskrit on original text readings and their recitation. The main aim of the course is to deepen the students' language skills in the practical knowledge of the language they study, mastering more complex grammatical structures and the continuous expansion of the vocabulary. In the case of modern languages (Bengali / Hindi / Tamil) classes include: Practicing conversational skills at the advanced level; Oral exercises; Answering the questions and asking questions by students; Reading and discussing literary and press texts; listening comprehension exercises (live speech, dictation, audio-video). In the case of Sanskrit classes include reading of original texts at the advanced level and their recitation. |

K_W12 has extensive knowledge of the 1st Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil), its structure, history, script K_W13 is aware of the complex nature of a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil), its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of South Asia K_W14 is aware of the linguistic variety and its influence on the cultural and political situation of the world K_W15 has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) into Polish K_U06 can read, analyze and interpret literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) of South Asia and appropriately place them in their cultural context K_U09 can use the knowledge of socio-cultural issues of South Asia in typical professional situations K_U12 has a good command of the 1st Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) at the intermediate level K_U13 can analyze and interpret source texts in a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) K_U14 can translate literary texts and writings from a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) into Polish K_U15 can interpret key terms from the cultures of South Asia through linguistic/philological analysis K_U16 can fluently use the script of a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) and the necessary tools to learn and analyze it (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.) K_U17 can properly function in the linguistic and cultural environment of South Asia K_U21 has a skill in presenting detailed aspects within the scope of cultural issues of South Asia in Polish and in a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit Tamil) taking into consideration the intellectual tradition of South Asia K_U22 has a skill at formulating own opinions and conclusions in writing and in speech both in Polish and in a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) K_U24 can use electronic and internet tools both in Polish and in a chosen Indian/South Asian language (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) K_K01 understands the need to learn all one’s life K_K02 can cooperate and work in a group as well as forge relationships and build social relations K_K03 can establish relations and cooperate with representatives of other cultures K_K05 has awareness of the cultural distinctness and its religious, philosophical, traditional and historical roots and its significance for understanding modern world K_K06 sees the need of dialogue between cultures K_K07 is aware of significance the culture of South Asia has for the culture of the world K_K08 acts in aid of sharing and promoting cultural and linguistic heritage of South Asia |
