Short description: |
Continuation of the basics of the Arabic language classes. During the course students will be introduced to further elements of Arabic grammar (like verbs and numerals) and a wider range of vocabulary and phraseology. |

- verb structure - grammatical categories of the verb – person, number, gender - verb inflection in the past tense - verb inflection in the present tense - cardinal numerals - ordinal numerals - the remaining classes of numerals - verb moods (indicative, subjunctive, jussive, imperative) - conversations and reading practice concerning the above mentioned grammar elements; developing vocabulary: food, description of a city, daily activities, family members - practicing earlier acquired grammar elements and vocabulary. |

Learning outcomes: |
Knowledge: The student has extensive knowledge of Arabic language (its/their structure, history, script) - and basic knowledge of the second oriental language K_W12 - is aware of the complex nature of a Arabic language, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of Iran and Afghanistan K_W13 Skills: - has a good command of Arabic language at A1 level K_U12 - can fluently use the script of a Arabic language and the necessary tools to learn and analyze it (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.) K_U16 Social competence: - understands the need to learn all one’s life K_K01 - can cooperate and work in a group as well as forge relationships and build social relations K_K02 - can establish relations and cooperate with representatives oother cultures K_K03 - sees the need of dialogue between cultures K_K06 |
