Short description:

Continuation of the previous years’ program. The aim of the course is to provide students with tools to further improve their four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing and communicative abilities.

Full description:

Continuation of the previous years’ program. The aim of the course is to provide students with tools to further improve their four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing and communicative abilities. Classes conducted in Japanese language.

Learning of various form of utterances and writing styles. Learning how to build texts, theory and composition of an academic paper. The above knowledge will be applied to write compositions about texts students read during classes and on on given topics. In addition, students will learn and practice preparing of presentation, mails, business correspondence etc. The classes will comprise explanation on texts preparation, exercises, essays presentation and correction of mistakes.

If required the lecturer will prepare necessary materials.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

The evaluation will be based on the following requirements:

- attendance in classes ( up to two absences without a sick note)

in case of sick notes - at least 50 per cent of attendance is required

- constant evaluation (preparing for classes and activity)

- presentation of prepared essays on given topics. (Essays must be handed to on date fixed by the lecturer. The lecturer evaluates all essays. The semester evaluation is calculated after summing up all essays grades.)
