Learning content: showing the Polish political, cultural, etc. engagement in the problems of the region, illustrated and exemplified by the political, scientific, etc. achievements of illustrious Poles, who also acted in non-Polish environments; historical links between Poland and the countries of the region, political, religious and cultural contacts, analogies and differences over the centuries; presentation of the historical role of Poland in the region and of its political and cultural effulgence on the countries of the region in different periods of time; comparison of historical memory, ethnic traditions, national stereotypes and myths which derived from the alliances and rivalries between the countries of the region; emphasizing 'common' ethnic issues; problems of migration into Poland.

Learning outcomes:

Learning effects - skills and competences: knowledge of political and cultural relations between Poland and the countries of the region. The student should gain the ability to compare different ethnic mechanisms of the countries of the region.
