  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Short description:

Students will know the rudiments of comparative psychology and zoopsychology and the biological foundations of behaviour. Students will know the basic methodology and terminology of the humanities and the natural and social sciences. Students will be able to interpret the results of empirical and theoretical research. Students will use their deductive thinking skills in the analysis of natural phenomena.

Knowledge:

Basic knowledge of comparative psychology and zoopsychology as well as biological foundations of behaviour

Knowledge of the basic terminology and methodology of the humanities and natural and social sciences

Identifying and analysing artistic and cultural processes and trends related to animals in a social context

Knowing how to continually update and expand one’s knowledge and improve one’s skills

- Being prepared for fact-based argumentation in academic debates and ideological disputes while respecting views different from one’s own

- Being prepared for acting in accordance with the code of scientific work ethics and decency while respecting one’s own and others’ health as well as intellectual property rights
