The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge on animal iconography in visual arts from prehistoric times to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, taking into account the relationship between the arts and the development of the natural sciences, as well as teaching them how to analyse artistic images of animals from the point of view of anthrozoology and animal studies |
