The course’s goal to present discussions and problems related to the contemporary philosophy of mind. |
Full description: |
The aim of the course is to present advanced issues of the contemporary philosophy of mind, with the particular emphasis on debates over mental representation, including (1) the theory of morphism-based representations or structural similarity, as well as teleosemantics, as defended by F. Dretske and R. G. Millikan; (2) problems and theories of consciousness, including the reliability of introspection; (3) issues related to the architecture of mind architecture, as modularity or extended mind (not only semantic externalism but also in the active externalism); (4) embodied cognition and enactivism; (5) information and computation in the philosophy of mind. |

(in Polish) Nabyta wiedza - student zna podstawowe pojęcia i stanowiska w obrębie współczesnej filozofii umysłu [K_W01, K_W03, K_W04, K_W05, K_W06, K_W08, K_W13] - zna stanowiska i argumentacje głównych przedstawicieli, [K_W04, K_W13] - rozumie podstawowe problemy związane z reprezentacją umysłową i teoriami świadomości [K_W08 ,K_W13]. Nabyte umiejętności - potrafi interpretować tekst naukowy i krytycznie odnieść się do zawartej w nim argumentacji [K_U02, K_U05, K_U10] - potrafi rozpoznawać klasyczne argumenty w filozofii umysłu, [K_U01, K_U05] - potrafi dokonać analizy logicznej argumentacji [K_U05, K_U06] - potrafi zwięźle przedstawić problem na piśmie wraz z argumentacją na rzecz jego rozwiązania [K_U02, K_U05, K_U06, K_U11, K_U19, K_U22] Nabyte kompetencje społeczne: wykład - student umie uważnie słuchać wypowiedzi innych osób, a także brać udział w dyskusji [K_K02, K_K04, K_K07, K_K08, K_K09, K_K10, K_K11] ćwiczenia - potrafi brać udział w dyskusji i racjonalnie analizować argumentację, z którą się nie zgadza - potrafi przedstawiać własny punkt widzenia w sposób precyzyjny i jasny, a jednocześnie interesujący dla słuchaczy |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
(in Polish) Ocena na podstawie egzaminu pisemnego. Egzamin pisemny składa się z 4 pytań otwartych (3 po 10 punktów, jedno za 20 punktów) oraz 4 pytań w postaci testu wielokrotnego wyboru (każda poprawna odpowiedź: 1 punkt). Razem: 50 punktów, punktacja: ocena 3 - 25 punktów; ocena 3,5 – 30 punktów, ocena 4 – 35 punktów, ocena 4,5 – 40 punktów, ocena 5 – 45 punktów i powyżej. Dopuszczalna liczba nieobecności podlegających usprawiedliwieniu: 2 Sylabus ćwiczeń znajduje się na podstronie grupy ćwiczeniowej. |
