Short description:

The course covers selected issues of European Economic Law that are directly relevant to the functioning of an undertaking. The course is original as to selection and the way of presenting the issues.

Full description:

Lecture mixed with exercise. Subject is conducted in a mixed form of lecture and exercise. Classes are based on the so-called. horizontal approach to the issue of European Economic law, which is to discuss the various problems not by systematic Treaty, but depending on the function of the company. They are of interest in particular those legal acts having direct application to undertakings.

The course covers the following topics:

1. Overview of the European Private Law

c. Rome II. Regulation (selected issues)

2. European Company Law

a. European Company

b. European Economic Interest Grouping

c. European Co-operative Society

3. Competition law in the EU and commercial contracts

a. Distribution contracts

b. Co-operation contracts

c. Mergers and Acquisitions

4. EU Intellectual Property Law

5. EU Employment Law

6. EU Public Procurement
