Short description:

Seminar on "Work of Art in Culture" is interdisciplinary. The concept of "work of art" covers all areas of work in the field of fine words and images. Broad thematic section is intended to allow students to reflect on the fundamental multilateral issues related to the formation, operation, and destruction of works of art.

Full description:

Seminar on "Work of Art in Culture" is based on the assumptions adopted in the program "Liberal Arts" ideas of affinity arts and humanities. Teaching methods involves discussion and dialogue as essential contributors to education. Each of the themes of the seminar opens the possibility of a multilateral analysis of the phenomenon - both in terms of cultural sciences as well as philosophy, sociology, psychology, political science, etc., also with the participation of invited guests (artists, researchers). Topics are open scope, are all manifestations of culture, both high and popular and mass. Similarly, there is a wide chronological range, extending from antiquity to the present day. The design envisages participation of seminar topics students (reading, movies, shows, web content, etc.).

Literature will be given on a regular basis, according to the agreed schedule. In addition, these multimedia presentations, films, performances, music recordings

Learning outcomes:

Developed and deepened knowledge about the place and role of the humanities and social sciences in the ancient and modern culture. In terms of capacity-building skills of speech, choice argument, dialogue and polemics, multimedia presentations, skills in popularizing of scientific debate.
