Prerequisites (description):	(in Polish) Głównym wymogiem przyjęcia do grupy jest brak przeciwskazań zdrowotnych. O chorobach mogących stanowić ograniczenia w bezpiecznym wykonywaniu ćwiczeń należy poinformować prowadzącego zajęcia.
Short description:	Students will increase their fitness and badminton skills. Students with no previous experience will be trained by a qualified badminton instructor. They will learn the badminton rules and basic techniques and tactics. They will also have a chance to try their hand in match conditions. Students who have completed at least one semester of badminton at the University of Warsaw or whose badminton skills acquired elsewhere (at school or in sports clubs) have been verified in practice will improve their technical and tactical skills during training sessions. If they demonstrate high badminton skills, they can try to get on the first or second team of the University of Warsaw. PAID PE CLASSES!!!
Full description:	During classes, students will develop their motor skills and improve fitness. They will get to know badminton as a form of movement and a sport, particularly learning the rules of the game. Classes involve training of motor skills as well as a number of technical elements, such as foot work, position (during the game), proper racket grip, forehand short serve, backhand short serve, forehand long serve, backhand long serve, forehand net shot, backhand net shot, forehand clear, backhand clear, forehand drop shot, backhand drop shot, forehand lob, backhand lob, forehand smash, serve return, smash return, forehand drive, backhand drive and offensive net shots. In addition, students will learn at least basic badminton tactics in singles and doubles. Students willing to compete will be informed about tournaments in which they can play and, possibly, compete for the University of Warsaw.
Learning outcomes:	Students: - will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning; - will be able to exercise safely; - will learn how to work in a team; - will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy; - will be able to use sports equipment correctly; - will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
