(in Polish) Głównym wymogiem przyjęcia do grupy jest brak przeciwskazań zdrowotnych. O chorobach mogących stanowić ograniczenia w bezpiecznym wykonywaniu ćwiczeń należy poinformować prowadzącego zajęcia.

Short description:

The purpose of workout on the Concept2 ergometer is to train students to compete for the University of Warsaw in the Warsaw Championships and Polish Championships over a distance of 1000 m (in two weight categories, men and women).

Full description:

The annual training cycle of the section is based on the calendar of sports events. It aims to train students to compete in the four series of the Warsaw Championships as well as the University Championships of Poland.

Classes include general workouts, particularly for strength and endurance, as well as specialist workouts based on the continuous and interval training methods. Students’ strength and technique are tested.

The best athletes are eligible for a sports scholarship, the primary criterion being the result achieved in the key event.

Learning outcomes:

Students:

- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;

- will be able to exercise safely;

- will learn how to work in a team;

- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;

- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;

- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.

Podstawą zaliczenia przedmiotu jest systematyczne i aktywne uczestnictwo w zajęciach.
