Prerequisites (description): | Students are expected to demonstrate volitional and motor skills required to play football and the ability to perform the following elements at the basic level: driving, receiving, passing and shooting the ball. Health declaration - after knowing the ruls of the sport section of the University of Warsaw I declare, that Im healthy and I can fully take part in these exercises. In case of any difficulties, I will inform the teacher. |
Short description: |
The training sessions of the women’s football section are to prepare the team in motor, technical and tactical terms to compete in the national women’s football league second division as well as in the University Championships of Poland in futsal. |
Full description: |
Since the 2008/2009 season, our team has competed in the national women’s football league second division. In the wintertime, in addition to college tournaments (University Sports Association National Board Cup in futsal and the University Championships of Poland in futsal), our team competes in a number of indoor events, such as Mazovian Indoor Championships or the Polish Indoor Championships. Training camps are held for the team twice a year. During training sessions of the women’s football section, students perfect their football and futsal technical skills (shots, receiving and driving the ball, feints) and prepare tactically for championship level games. In addition they develop the motor skills (endurance, strength and speed) required to play football and futsal. The also learn fair play rules. |

Learning outcomes: |
Students: - will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning; - will be able to exercise safely; - will learn how to work in a team; - will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy; - will be able to use sports equipment correctly; - will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff. |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
The PE credit is earned for regular attendance and active participation in training sessions as well as competitions and tournaments. |
