Short description:	(in Polish) B1 według Modern Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. A Common European Framework of Reference oznacza docelowy poziom kursu języka obcego w zakresie sprawności językowych dla studentów rozpoczynających naukę na kursie średnio zaawansowanym.
Full description:	(in Polish) Po kursie na tym poziomie student rozumie główny sens wypowiedzi sformułowanej wyraźnie, w języku standardowym, na temat mu znany, związany z pracą, szkołą, czasem wolnym itp. Rozumie najważniejsze informacje w programach radiowych i TV dotyczące wydarzeń współczesnych, lub tematów związanych z zainteresowaniami osobistymi lub zawodowymi, gdy mówi się dość wolno i wyraźne. Potrafi zrozumieć teksty zawierające najczęściej używane wyrażenia związane z życiem codziennym i zawodowym. Rozumie opis wydarzeń, uczuć i życzeń zawartych w listach prywatnych. Radzi sobie w większości sytuacji, które mogą się zdarzyć w podróży po krajach danego obszaru językowego. Potrafi bez przygotowania uczestniczyć w rozmowach na tematy mu znane i go interesujące, lub odnoszące się do życia codziennego (np. rodzina, zainteresowania, praca, podróże i wydarzenia bieżące). Potrafi łączyć wyrazy i wyrażenia w prosty sposób, aby opisać doświadczenia i wydarzenia, swoje marzenia, nadzieje, ambicje. Umie podać przyczyny i wyjaśnienia, sformułować opinie i plany. Learning outcomes:	(in Polish) Poziom B1 Po ukończeniu kursu, student: (Umiejętności) 1. komunikuje się skutecznie w formie ustnej i pisemnej z użyciem podstawowego słownictwa na znane mu tematy dotyczące zainteresowań zawodowych, osobistych i czynności życia codziennego. 2. wypowiada się ustnie na podstawie prostych tabel, wykresów oraz sporządzonych notatek na temat programów informacyjnych i popularno-naukowych prosto ujętych w telewizji, Internecie lub prasie. 3. pisze zgodnie z konwencją proste listy prywatne i pisma o charakterze urzędowym typu: email, zaproszenie, życiorys, list motywacyjny. 4. opisuje ustnie i pisemnie z użyciem podstawowego słownictwa nieskomplikowane zdarzenia przeszłe, teraźniejsze i planowane z własnego życia. 5. rozumie i przetwarza zasłyszane bądź przeczytane informacje, instrukcje, polecenia do zadań testowych, podsumowuje, wyciąga wnioski. Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	COMPLETION OF LANGUAGE COURSES 1. The following elements are taken into account before assessing the completion of the course: - active participation in language classes (25 per cent) - tests and homework results (25 per cent) - final test result (50 per cent), however, in order to gain a positive mark for completing the course, students must show certain achievements with regard to each of the above categories (no mark will be given to a student who has received 0 per cent in any of the categories, or has not shown any activity in one of them) Grading scale 99-100 per cent - 5( outstanding) 93-98 per cent – 5 (very good) 87-92 per cent - 4+(good plus) 77-86 per cent - 4 (good) 71-76 per cent – 3+ (satisfactory plus) 60-70 per cent – 3 (satisfactory) A student is granted 2 ECTS points for completing a 60-hour-course, which means for achieving expected learning outcomes. 2. In addition, the teacher will define specific detailed principles and criteria for completion of the course and present them to students during the first class in a given academic year. 3. A student has the right to be absent 3 times in one term, consisting of 60 class hours (thirty 2-hour classes), while in the case of language courses which take 30 hours a term, blended language courses or e-courses, a student can be absent twice with no need to explain reasons for being absent. At the beginning of the course the teacher will instruct students on how to make up for the absence and complete what they have missed. 4. The mark given for the completion of the course (as well as ECTS points) will enter the University Student Service System (USOS) 5. The unsatisfactory mark can only be given to students who have not shown satisfactory results in tests, homework and the final achievement test. 6. Students should register for language courses themselves during the officially announced registration period only. Similarly, if students want to resign, they have to do that themselves but only during the registration period.
