  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Introductin to water management in Poland, knowledge about water resources and their use in different economy sectors.

Short description:

The aim of the lecture is to present the main problems of the water management in Poland and it relations with environment protection. Specific problems: water management organisation, water resources, water supply, hydro power energetics, inland shipping, turism.

Full description:

Lecture presents basic information about history of water management, water law, water administation, Water Framework Directive. It is discussed a method of water resources estimation, water balanc of Poland, water use for industry, agriculture, municipal. Water use changes and cosequences of individual metering and water price. Large hydro-power statins, principles of constructin and operation in electric energy system. Small hydro-power stations. Inland navigation, perspectives of waterways development in Poland. Potential of development of turism on the Polish waterways.

To be familiar with crutial documents and organisaton of Polish water management, water resources and different use of water resources.

Essay on selected by the participant subject, with grade, independednd from excercises. It is acceptable to be 3 times absent at the lecture.
