The aim of the internship is to equip the student with knowledge and skills to perform the teaching profession in higher education. Professional teaching practice is organized in the higher education institution in which the graduate will be qualified to work. Through the realization of the practicum, graduates are prepared both to teach English and to teach subjects in English. During the practicum the student is assigned the following activities: observing classes, assisting the lecturer, independently conducting classes or their parts both on-site and on-line (on the e-learning platform), planning and discussing classes conducted by himself/herself and others (teachers, students). The main objectives of practicum at higher education level: 1. To become acquainted with the specifics of the work and the scope of responsibilities of a teacher and a university lecturer 2. To acquire an ability to observe classes and document them, as well as to conduct classes independently onsite and online (on the e-learning platform). 3. To acquire an ability to analyse the work of a teacher, a lecturer and students during joint discussions with the lecturer, the mentor or internship supervisor and during classes on didactics of the subject 4. To acquire an ability to analyse their own work, its effects and the work of students. 5. To acquire an ability to plan the didactic work that takes into account individual differences of students. Internships run and are settled according to a detailed schedule presented by the internship supervisor. |

Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Student perform subsequent tasks on time and in accordance with the detailed schedule established by the internship supervisor. Students receive credits on the basis of: - mentors' evaluation - supervisor's evaluation based on the portfolio including lesson plans, observation reports, tasks designed for students on the e-learning platform together with feedback for learners, reflections after classes, reports and other documentation such as self-evaluation report and teaching practice diary. Scale: 95-100% - 5 90-94% - 5- 85-89% - 4+ 80-84% - 4 75-79% - 4- 70-74% - 3+ 65-69% - 3 60-64% - 3- 0-59% - 2 Criteria for assessing tasks (may vary depending on the nature of the task): - task completed on time, - compliance with the instructions and plan, - completeness, - clarity and logic, - insight and quality of argumentation, - organization of content and content consistent with the topic, - the correctness of reports and conclusions, - correct language, - classroom management skills. |

Through the realization of the practicum, graduates are prepared both to teach English and to teach subjects in English. During the practicum the student is assigned the following activities: observing classes, assisting the lecturer in charge of the class, independently conducting classes or their parts, planning and discussing classes conducted by himself/herself and others (teachers, students). The main objectives of practice at level 3 of education 1. To become acquainted with the specifics of the work and the scope of responsibilities of a teacher and a university lecturer 2. To acquire an ability to observe classes and document them, as well as to conduct classes independently onsite and online (on the e-learning platform). 3.
