ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 2.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

B2, elementary level, according to A Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment, signifies a target level of language skills acquisition upon completion of a B2 course.

Full description:

Upon completion a student can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure etc; s/he can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst traveling in area where the language is spoken; s/he can produce simple connected text on topics are familiar or of personal interest; s/he can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans

Learning outcomes:

On completing the course, the student:

the student is able to search, analyse, evaluate, select and use information using a variety of sources and methods

the student is able to communicate, using a variety of channels and techniques, with experts in those academic subjects that are relevant to their course of studies

the student is capable of presenting their ideas, concerns, suggestions and arguments, supporting them with published opinions on the subject

the student has a knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts and principles governing copyright and authors' rights

the student has elementary knowledge of the process of interpersonal communication and social patterns

the student has comprehensive knowledge of the principles and ethical standards in education
