Written report also presented during class (50% of the final grade),

completion of homeworks requiring review of literature and other sources (50% of the final grade).

Students may be asked to presentportions of their work, or their thoughts on the subject, during discussion in class.

2 absences without excuse are allowed. After using those, every extra absence requires an excuse. No more than 4 absence overall are permitted however.

2. Child as a patient

3. Normal brain development

4. Neuroplasticity and vulnerability of developing nervous system

5. Typical and atypical language development

6. Typical and atypical development of non-verbal cognitive functions

7. Neurological conditions typical for developmental age

8. Genetic disorders

9. How somatic illness and non-medical factors impact development

10. Incidental findings in neuroimaging and their consequences

Readings for each topics will be provided during the course.

Discussion, work in small groups, case study.
