Attendance rules

One unexcused absence (3hrs) are permitted. More than 2 absences result in course failure

2 tests assessing your understanding of theoretical issues covered during previous classes and relevant literature indicated above. [2x 50 points.]

In order to pass the course, the overall grade of each quiz needs to be above 60%.

Seminar will be divided in 5 main blocks. Exact dates of classes will be provided during the first class.

1. Introductory class. Main constructs: basic needs, early maladaptive schemas and modes.

2. Schema modes.

3. Case conceptualization in Schema Therapy.

4. Treatment planning. Therapeutic relationship.

5. Therapeutic techniques in Schema Therapy. Practical aspects.

The class will have a seminar format – short lectures will be interspersed with individual/ dyad/ small-groups activities and group discussions. New knowledge will be introduced via interactive way, using video materials and case studies.
