The course will attempt to initiate a debate over Gandhian thought and practice 70 years after his death and it relevance to contemporary issues in India and in global dimension. Being Gandhi’s major historical legacy was his masterful development of the political tactic of nonviolent resistance and thus we like to continue reflection over it contemporary relevance in India as well in the world. |

During seven sessions (Fall Semester) we meet with our guest, visiting Professor Badrinath Krishna Rao from US. Several Gandhi’s texts will be analyzed. Moreover, we will discuss the theory and practice of the non-violent resistance. |
