During the course, developments in sustainable development law, a field emerging at the intersection of international, economic and social law will be analysed. The course offers a legal approach to sustainable development issues. |

The origins of the concept of sustainable development law. Constitutionalization of sustainable development. Principles of international law related to sustainable development. Cross-border sustainable development legal issues. Human rights dimension of sustainable development. Operationalizing sustainable development – from global to internal level. Armed conflicts and sustainable development. |

| Efekty uczenia się: |
After completion of the course the student will know: - the basic elements of international legal concept of sustainable development including international actors and stake holders; - legal principles of sustainable development law; - the basis for decision-making; - what are the legal requirements and implementing measures of sustainable development; - how to implement the international legal concept of sustainable development into national legal systems. |
