Short description:	Combinatorics of words is a study of properties of words understood as in formal languages.
Full description:	The lecture focuses on the combinatorics of words. The most of its content is devoted to equations on words. Methods to solve them are shown as well as their connections with other parts in combinatorics of words.
Bibliography:	Scientific articles from last 30 years.
Learning outcomes:	Knowledge: * Has knowledge concerning equations on words and their connections with other topics in combinatorics of words (KW_01). Abilities: * Is able to solve a simple equation on words. (KU_01). Social competences: * Is able to understand most of papers concerning word equations. (KK-04).
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	Attendance and activeness during classes and the result of a presentation.
