During the lecture, students will learn about the structure of enzymatic proteins, the mechanisms of enzymatic catalysis, and enzymatic kinetics. The classes will present techniques and methods useful in working with enzymes in vitro and in silico. |

Lecture: Course content: basics of chemical thermodynamics, the structure of enzymatic proteins, mechanisms of enzymatic catalysis, types of enzymatic reaction kinetics, types of catalytic reactions and enzyme classification, membrane bioenergetics systems. Classes: 1. Biochemical and enzymatic calculations. Basics of spectrophotometry. 2. Basics of simulation of chemical and enzymatic reactions using computer programs. 3. Basics of enzymatic reaction measurements. Determination of the activity of transaminases in the rabbit blood serum. 4. Measurements of enzymatic kinetics for L-lactate dehydrogenase 5. Mathematical methods for the determination of kinetic parameters of enzymes. 6. Inhibition of enzymatic reactions - simulations in computer programs and data analysis. 7. Mechanisms of enzymatic reactions - simulations in computer programs and data analysis. 8. Application of computer programs to analyze the spatial structure of enzymes. |
