ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 2.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;

Class present the fundamental information useful in the Earth science. It will be covered water properties, flow in pipes and open channel.

Introduction to hydrulics as a properties of the water, hydrostatics, flow in pipes and open channels

Full description:

Following problems will be presented

- properties of the water, density, volumetric weight

- hysrostatic pressure

- hydrostatic force, hydrostatic displacement

- lamina and turbulent flow

- Bernoulli equation

- Chezy and Manning equations

K_U01 student knows how to calculate physical properties of water (theory) to solve practical problem (measurements) )
