ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

The purpose of the master's seminar is to prepare the master's thesis by its participants. At the seminar, this is served by, among others exchange of thoughts (asking questions and making comments) by the listeners after subsequent meetings, during which subsequent participants report their progress.

Full description:

The topics of subsequent meetings are related to the master's theses prepared by the participants. Students prepare their own work (under tutor's supervision), and present partial and final research results at the seminar, undergoing group evaluation.

The estimated number of hours that the student must spend to achieve the learning outcomes defined for the subject:

Seminar: 1 ECTS (30 hours) - hours in direct contact with the lecturers, i.e. participation in classes, 2 ECTS (60 hours) - student's own contribution, including 30 hours. reading the literature, 30 hours studying techniques and research methods.

Bibliography:

Impossible to specify - depends on the thematic and territorial scope of master's theses.

Learning outcomes:

The final result is a thesis prepared

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

First of all, the activity and quality of discussions as well as regularity in preparing subsequent fragments of the MA thesis are assessed.

A maximum of two absences allowed.

The condition of getting credit is writing a master's thesis chapter.
