Pełny opis: |
The aim of this course is to prepare students for remote sensing data processing basing mainly on field measurements. The course will cover such issues as remote sensing data acquisition emphasizing methods of field studies, data preparation (selecting, pre-processing, storing), statistical analysis, processing of the data, Students will discuss the data processing workflow and perform an analysis of data sample. The course is realized as a series of laboratory meetings with practical exercises and discussion on presented methods. The first part is an introduction to field remote sensing: analysis of the aim, planning the analysis. The second part is the analysis of literature focusing on field remote sensing analysis. last part is planning, preparing and discussing the projects. The course accentuates development of students English language skills and familiarizes them with English remote sensing terminology. A list of topics: Introduction to field remote sensing data analysis. Data preprocessing and storing. Advanced data analysis (spectral curves, graphs) in spreadsheets and statistical software. Discussion of data analysis methods. Discussion of data analysis results. |

||
Efekty uczenia się: |
Student knows: - how to plan field measurements, - how to analyze and draw conclusions from remote sensing data, - proper English terminology connected to remote sensing. |
||
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Participation in classes, absence during 3 classes is allowed. The final grade depends on: - the quality of 2 oral presentations and their written reports, - activities during the classes. The choice of topic, presentation of the literature background (other similar researches), presentation of research methods, concept of own methodology, obtained results and their discussion are assessed. Students who do not meet these requirements are required to repeat the course in the next cycle of classes. |
