(tylko po angielsku) Aims: • To familiarise students with the oral and written advocacy skills required to succeed in moot court competitions of various kinds. • To improve students’ English legal terminology • To teach students how to prepare a “case strategy” • To improve students’ ability to make oral presentations and defend themselves against questioning • To improve students’ ability to react “on their feet” to challenges from opposing counsel Methodology: • Small group teaching • Using real-life moot court problems • Live “room reviews” and “video reviews” using the Hampel method of advocacy training • Review of students’ written pleadings • Working towards team to represent Warsaw University at the CEEMC Topics: 1. Introduction to mooting 2. Basic Advocacy Skills 3. Written Advocacy 4. Oral Advocacy 5. Substantive law discussions 6. Preparation of written pleadings 7. Preparation of oral pleadings 8. Delivery of oral pleadings 9. Moot court simulation 10. Review of skills acquired and advice for further work |
