Prerequisites (description): | The main purpose of the course on the subject of Control and supervision of local governments is to familiarize students with the mechanism of functioning of the system of control and supervision of local government. The goals, scope and organizational solutions defining the principles of performing control and supervision will be analyzed. In addition, the goal is to discuss legal solutions defining the powers of supervisory authorities. |

The lecture focuses on the issues of selected aspects of control and supervision of local government. The aim is to show various legal norms determining the performance of control and supervision over local government - the scope of control and supervision, procedural aspects and possible consequences of this control and the use of supervision measures. Specific issues: 1. the separation of control and supervision over local government; 2. criteria for control and supervision of local government; 3. competent authorities in matters of control and supervision of local government; 4. the mode of performing control and supervisory activities; 5. control and surveillance measures; 6. judicial protection of self-government independence and control and supervision of local self-government. |

The listener is aware of the possible aspects of the procedure of supervision over local government. Is able to interpret the law regulating this subject. Understands the essence of supervisory proceedings. He can describe the competence of selected bodies in the supervision of local government. |
