Short description: |
The aim of the lecture is to present the current issues of the legal status, development trends and the doctrine of international space law. Issues concerning practical aspects of satellite technologies as well as institutional forms of international cooperation in the use of space and celestial bodies will be discussed. |

Legal status of the space Activities allowed in space and on celestial bodies - the concept of "peace purposes" in international space law - the concept of "practical applications of space technology" - types of practical applications of space technology (telecommunications, satellite remote sensing of the Earth, satellite navigation) - anti-satellite weapon Satellite teledetection of the Earth - Earth monitoring and security - rules for disclosing and disseminating the results of satellite remote sensing of the Earth - espionage using space objects Satellite navigation - characteristics of satellite navigation systems (global satellite navigation systems (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO) and regional satellite navigation systems) - civil applications of global satellite navigation systems - military applications of global satellite navigation systems - national defense and security and global satellite navigation systems - US, Russia, China, EU doctrine Satellite communications Satellite brodcasting |
