Prerequisites (description):	The course will analyse legal solutions envisaged in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and norms resulting from the autonomy of the chambers of the parliament concerning the foundations of the political system and the rules of functioning of the Sejm and the Senate.

Short description:	Although parliament is the key body of every democratic state, academic courses devoted exclusively to the Sejm and the Senate are rarely. The course will also present questions related to the political nature of decision-making processes in the Sejm and the Senate. This will not be limited only to the legislative process and the exercise of a control and creative functions. Rules regarding the legal status of Members of Parliament, internal structure and the organization of parliamentary work will be analyzed. The course will also discuss the theoretical and normative foundations of the existence and activity of internal organs of chambers and forms of organizing of MPs. The analyzed problems will be confronted with the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Tribunal and with the constitutional practice.
