This course will explore the rhetoric and vocabulary of CSR and ways that firms are becoming more socially responsible—and evaluate the extent to which different types of social responsibility initiatives are strategic. It will examine the role of corporate responsibility as a strategy to improve products, profits, and brand equity. We will examine numerous corporate initiatives that attempt to dispel that corporations are taking advantage of us. Globalization combined with increased transparency of corporate operations has revealed significant variations in how organizations are attempt to balance the pursuit of profits and good corporate citizenship. |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
One examination covering topics in class common law, the topic discussed in class and one short paper examining a business of your choice as to its scope of corporate social responsibility. |
