ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	1.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Full description:	(in Polish) Celem zajęć terenowych jest poznanie zbiorów bibliotecznych oraz miejsc związanych z działalnością naukową. Zajęcia poprzedza przygotowanie studentów do wizyty w konkretnie wyznaczonej bibliotece lub instytucji kultury.
Bibliography:	The literature will be announced during the seminar.
Learning outcomes:	Has basic knowledge concerning the placement and significance of the humanities within the system of knowledge, and of their thematic and methodological specificity. Has systematic detailed knowledge in the field of book and information science. Has knowledge of the relations between book and information science with other branches of learning and disciplines belonging to the field, which pursued studies belong to. Has basic knowledge of main development lines and most important achievements in book and information science and the disciplines proper for library science and scientific information. Is capable of information retrieval, analysis, evaluation, selection and usage, acquiring it from various sources and by various methods, appropriate to own needs and needs of other users. Knows how to independently acquire knowledge and develop research skills in the field of book and information science under the guidance of a scientific tutor. Is capable of communicating with the use of various channels and technologies, with specialists in book and information studies, in Polish, and in a foreign language. Understands the need of permanent education. Is conscious of the responsibility for preserving the cultural heritage (with special emphasis of its written section) of the region, country.
