The course is dedicated to the rules governing the protection of Intellectual Property (IP). It covers patents, trademarks, industrial design and copyright. The course familiarizes students with basic concepts and invites then to the discussion about the future of IP. |

The course deals with the rules governing the protection of Intellectual Property (IP). It covers patents, trademarks, industrial designs and copyrights. EU-law framework is discussed in this respect. In addition, the course covers the intersection between IP and competition law (in particular refusal to deal cases, such as Microsoft). The course familiarizes students with basic concepts. At the same time, by presenting multimedia materials and articles from business magazines it invites students to the discussion about recent challenges and the future of IP. During the course real cases that involved IP litigation are presented. A list of topics: 1. Patents 2. Trademarks 3. Industrial design 4. Copyright 5.
